Even with the extra bhp generated from the remap, generally because the engine is running with optimum efficiency the fuel consumption is also improved.
There are less gains from remapping alone on petrol engines but when combined with a modification such as a turbocharger or supercharger, petrol remapping can generate the best gains.
It is the operating parameters that are modified within the ECU programming and we keep a copy of the original software so if you want to return to standard it's easily done.
