Coolant System Repairs

Radiators - Fans - Leaks

Engine Cooling

Engine Coolant is just as important as oil. Without it, you're going to need a new engine!

Keeping your engines cooling system operating at peak efficency is important to ensure engine longevity and hassle free motoring. Skipping a major service will result in your vehicles coolant not being changed, meaning you run a higher risk of failure.

BMW Water Pumps

Pumping the coolant

Dragon Automotive supply quality OE or OEM water pumps. A water pump failure is one of the most common causes of a coolant leak or coolant system failure.

We can test the system, diagnose any BMW water pump issues and get the problem resolved without delay.

BMW Radiators

Everybody knows what these are!

Dragon Automotive supply quality OE or OEM radiators. A radiator leaking due to corrosion or damage is probably the most common cause of a coolant system failure.

We can test the system, diagnose any BMW radiator issues and get the problem resolved efficiently.

Coolant Flushing

BMW Coolant System Flush Treatment

We use a Flo-Dynamics C-VAC3 machine to not only renew your engine coolant but to flush the system through providing a thorough cleaning process as well.

Keeping your coolant strength at the correct level and the system clean are vital for performance and as preventative maintenance.

Coolant Hoses

Working Under Pressure!

The coolant system is based on using pressure to raise the temperature of the fluid, the coolant hoses have to withstand pressurised fluid and temperature changes.

As such the hoses need to be in good condition and even the smallest of degradation may lead to a coolant system leak. At Dragon we can check the condition of the hoses and renew any before they become a problem.

We also sell upgraded hoses, see our performance shop for more details.

EGR Valve Cooler

More Cooling Complexity

Modern EGR valve systems have their own EGR valve cooler which is effectively another small raditor designed to cool the exhaust gases before they enter the valve.

Like all radiators there is a probability of a leak due to corrosion or damage developing. We can test and resolve this for you.

Heat Exchanger

More Cooling Complexity

The heat exchanger is effectively yet another radiator, this time as part of the cooling system for the transmission system.

Like all radiators there is a probability of a leak due to corrosion or damage developing. We can test and resolve this for you.

Intercoolers

Air to Water Intercooler Leaks

If your BMW has an Air to water Intercooler, it is common for them to suffer from water leaks causing misfire symptoms and a whole host of other issues.

Dragon Automotive can repair or replace your intercooler with an upgraded design.

Irontite Cermanic Sealer

The ultimate of Ceramic Sealers

We don't particularly advocate the use of ceramic sealers but sometimes there is little other option due to parts availabilty issues.

In these instances this three stage treatment is a thorough and effective solution. Particularly useful with head liner issues.

Waterless Coolant

The Coolant of Champions

Water is an excellent fluid for cooling whilst in a liquid state, but when water turns to steam it has virtually no capacity for heat transfer. Evans is a superior fluid for transferring heat in engines because it remains in a liquid state until above 180°C.

The significantly higher boiling point of Evans coolants means 75% less pressure than water resulting in a less stressed cooling system.

Evans waterless coolants eliminate corrosion and electrolytic activity significantly increasing the life of the engine. Get the complete conversion treatment at Dragon Automotive.
